AN IPSWICH family have been left “devastated” after their half-term holiday was ruined due to a flight cancellation.
Lianne Nunn, her husband James and their two children had hoped to fly out to Alicante for their first ever holiday abroad, after booking their tickets with budget airline easyJet back in September.
They were due to jet off to the Spanish resort with Mr Nunns’ two brothers, their wives and five children, and one set of grandparents from Gatwick airport on May 28.
But when the group of 15 arrived at the departure gate they were told their flight had been cancelled – and the next one able to accommodate all of them was more than a week away on June 6.
“It’s just been horrible,” said Mrs Nunn.
“All the kids were really looking forward to the holiday and were very upset when we told them we couldn’t go.”
